The Wal-Mart TechTank Intel Summer Movie Nights Tour is kicking off in Salinas, Calif. on Friday, June 23, stopping at 70 locations in 12 states over 12 weeks. Open to the public during the day, the TechTank will be demonstrating new technology products available at Wal-Mart, helping consumers integrate technology into their daily lives.
At night, the TechTank transforms the Wal-Mart parking lot into a drive-in movie theater experience with a 24-foot inflatable screen, FM modulator and the TechTank’s Hollywood-style searchlights. The TechTank will also make stops at theme parks and community events to raise awareness about the technology solutions available at Wal-Mart.
The Wal-Mart TechTank Microsoft Back-to-School Tour commences on Wednesday, June 28 in Effingham, Ill. with two-day technology expos in 30 communities throughout the plains states and the northwest over the summer. These events showcase electronic ‘must haves’ for students and teachers. At each stop, local teachers have the opportunity to participate in the My Teacher Program, providing materials to integrate technology into the classroom.
